Make a Gourd Night Light with Graham Ottoson

Come make a truly "gourd-geous" night light! Gourdlandia is a place where gourds grow and creativity flourishes. Instructor Graham will supply the goggles and drills, you supply the holes. A tour of the gourd garden is included (June-October). Graham is happy to talk about starting a business within our community, how to grow your art, the fascinating history of gourds, or just about anything else.

Dance of Directions: A Cherokee Dance of Healing with Christine (Christi) Ione

Join Christine Ione in a self-care practice of heart and intention that brings harmony to the body-mind and to the Earth. The Dance of Directions (Dance) is a slow-moving prayer to the earth and sky that clears the energetic pathways within the body to resonate with the land and the sacred Directions. You will leave the class with an understanding of basic indigeneous principles with relationships to the earth, as well as improved flexibility and peace of mind. The class includes stretching and breathing exercises, instructions for learning the Dance, and basic philosophy behind the Dance. (No dance experience is required, and the movements can be adapted to sitting in a chair.)

Come one come all to pick berries at the farm! A wonderful family activity led by Katie Creeger. You will be introduced to a variety of berry crops that can be grown in the Northeast, as well as the organic/permaculture practices that are used at the Kestrel Perch Berries farm. Leave feeling accomplished and knowledgeable about berries, as well as what it takes to run a berry farm.
