Calling all nature lovers, photographers, and citizen scientists! Join us for an exploration of the forests, wetlands, and meadows at the EcoVillage at Ithaca to document the abundant species diversity in our bioregion during the Summer 2025 Bioblitz! Please sign up for an account with iNaturalist and download the app to your smartphone in advance or bring a camera. We will also have a few cameras available to use. Led by EVI photographer Frank Muller and Ingrid Zabel, climate change education manager at PRI. Co-sponsored by the Thrive Ithaca EcoVillage Education Center, the Paleontological Research Institution, and the EcoVillage at Ithaca Land Partnership Committee and Plant, Animal, and Land Stewards. Did you know that many herbs, bark, seeds, and flowers all around us have medicinal properties? Learn with Olga Ivanova the art of tea making from different dry materials and freshly collected plants, with sampling at the end! Participants will take home a bag of their own homemade tea mix.
